My usual approach to kettlebell training is to keep the workouts very short but occasionally I like to use a slightly longer 20 minute kettlebell workout. The 20 minute kettlebell workout I’ve detailed below will activate every muscle in your body, push your cardio, and challenge your balance and movement skills. If you enjoy a challenge then the following kettlebell workout is for you.

Also see: 10 minute kettlebell workout. All you need is a single kettlebell, which you’ll use for 15 swings, 10 goblet squats, and 5 shoulder presses with each arm. Rest as much as you need, and repeat as often as you can for 20 minutes. Your Kick-Butt 20-Minute Kettlebell Workout Routine You will go through the following 5 kettle bell moves in a circuit, performing each move for about 1 minute, resting shortly for only about 30 seconds, then moving on to the next move, taking about 10 minutes.

This 20 minute workouts uses one kettlebell to blast fat and burn calories all while strengthening and sculpting your muscles. Options for all fitness levels.   • All I have is a 15 pounds KB. I know I can go heavier, but it’s easy taking it slow. I can do a 34 pound kb swing, but that means I have to push really hard if I am to do these workouts! kb swings sure are costly!:).

  • This is a nice work out. I use it after I do insanity max 30. Keeps the cardio up and boosts cal burn off. You got a push real hard throughout. Palace of pain or you don’t gain.

  • I have been doing this workout for several weeks. I can’t always get 3 in each week but I am a consistent jogger and I participate in advanced group fitness. This kb workout has taken my results past the plateau. My back, core and arms are showing more results and my metabolism is out the roof for a while after I am done! I like it!

    But I get a really bad spasm and liwer back ache first 10 mins into the workout. I’m using 8 kg kettlebell but switched to a 5kg dumbell after the pain. I’m keeping my core tight and back straight.
    What am I doing wrong?

  • So every time I watch a kettlebell video they tell you different ways to do the kettlebell swing. This guy says not to bend at the hips but to squat,others say it is not a squat almost like a deadlift. What is correct???

  • Wow! That was a great workout! I’m a begginer but it was easy for me to do it with a 7.5 kg KB (16.5 lb). Considering the heavy weight of the KB, do you think I should give my muscles a day for recovery or that as cardio, I can do it on daily basis? What do you think?

  • This was probably the best Kettlebell workout I have found on YTube.

    Why? Well, funny you should ask ;-]

    1, the video shows what you will be doing next, which allows the brain to prepare for the exercise, then after the rest period you can get straight into the workout., front and side views, always good.

    2, these intervals are achievable, though this is a matter of personal choice depending on ones own fitness, so can be adjusted as necessary.

    3, the pace is good too, form rather than speed.

    4, I can understand what MMotivator is saying, clear, concise instructions.

    5, this guy really is interested in ‘you’… making sure you entirely understand what you should be doing…. so many fitness coaches out there are not about helping, rather than showing off what they have achieved, how muscly they are… not this guy.

  • Why didn’t do this sooner, i love exercise but have a very busy lifestyle and exercise mainly for my mental health and was struggling to find the time to go the gym after work and also fit my study time into my schedule. So i woke up one day and gave this a try, bought myself some weights and a mat and now 4 time a week at 6.30am i get up and do one these amazing workouts, thanks jo x

  • This is really advanced. I can guess that the instructors are taking breaks between exercises, so not sure how well anyone can keep up at their pace. It’s also bad practice to just randomly call for extra reps. It’s annoying, but also not great when you’re not matching on the other side.

  • One thing I noticed. On the first set of lunges you press right arm and right leg back. The rest you do the opposite (left arm press right leg back). Which way should we do it or does it not matter?

  • I’m far from a KB expert (though I’ve been training with it for 10 years) but I know enough to say that their technique is just bad. Of course it makesyou sweat a lot, and as long as you don’t use real weight you shouldn’t get hurt too badly. All of their KBs looked like Kids’ size

  • Great for a change. I only have one kettlebell and it’s 8kg so a little challenging for the lunges but otherwise a good weight. Added kettlebell to sit ups to make them more challenging. Definitely a good one for toning if you’re near your weight goal!

  • 100/100 recommended best workout ever, reasonable rest time, 20 mins of a decent workout. For people arguing for the background music, just mute the vid and open spotify or something of your choice, and follow the video steps.   • Everytime I get to the end of the workout I say ” F you Mande” cause im wrecked. After 2 months of doing this 3 times a week im the fittest ive ever been. Easy to change up as well, Ill swap some of the excercises for different ones to stop it getting stale every routine, Swapping push up excercises for the boxer punch and stuff like that. its pretty awesome.

  • Did this today with a 5 min HIIT to finish 40 on 20 rest; high knees, mountain climbers ��, burpees ����(only managed 10 that’s terrible!), jumping jacks & climb the rope.   • I just wanted to say I’m loving this video. Did it two weeks ago and followed the simple one. Did it again today and did the difficult one, only died at the lunges!

  • Nice Video clip! Apologies for butting in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you considered Chireetler Kettlebell Miracle Rule (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a good one off guide for learning some amazing kettlebell challenge workouts minus the hard work. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my cooworker after many years got cool success with it.

  • Would be a good idea to share what Kg of Kettle you are using. I’m using 16 kg and I’m realizing its a bit too much so during specific exercises I’m splitting the reps in half. Any advice otherwise?

  • Another great workout thank you! Last two rounds I changed sit-ups to planks. Really need to up my press up game good for 10, struggling after 15 (on knees).
