  • Hi guys! Make sure to watch until the end to see our bloopers ha! If you’d like to see more bento box ideas in the future, make sure to give this video a thumbs up and leave a comment with what you’d like to see in the next video! xo Lisa

  • I almost always bring my own food due to allergies which have required hospital treatment. Packing your own is normal here in Australia. 99% 9f the time my husband takes leftovers to work. I deliberately cook a little extra each night for his lunches, it doesn’t take any longer and doesn’t cost much more. Our schools do not have lunches like America so kids bring their own. My son had sandwiches but my daughter hated them so she also had leftovers at school. They also had a variety of different fruits and homemade snacks.
PS to keep lunches cool in your lunch bags, do what us Aussies do freeze a juice box or water bottle and keep it in your lunchbag. You’ll have a cool lunch and cold drink.

  • I’m seriously going to try many of these ideas because honestly they look absolutely delicious!
Also can you, instead of using this machine to make zucchini noodles, just cut them into very thin slices?

  • Great lunch ideas, good wholesome food. Thank you Lisa, you transformed my relationship with clean eating. I loved your niece and nephew’s input and hearty laughter at the end bloopers.

  • Thanks for sharing! Could you please make a video on vegan Bento box meals for school/work that do not contain nuts? Many schools are nut free zones meaning they do not allow food or drink that contain nuts due to student’s nut allergies. My kids have been vegan since birth (4 month old daughter & 2.5 yr old son) so I’m constantly trying to think of what to pack for his school lunch that is vegan and doesn’t contain nuts. Just a suggestion thanks!

  • All of these lunches look beautiful but I think the only thing I’d actually eat is the tuna fish sandwich. I wish I liked regular seafood and Greek food

  • Is that Wild Planet tuna? I’ve hated tuna my whole life, but tuna salad with this brand only (I have to drain it, even though it says not to) is actually delicious! Still can’t eat it by itself, lol.

The watermelon salad is my favorite, and I like to add lime and mint to my dressing.

Also, pro-tip for the chips: Slice on an angle for longer chips for dipping!

  • Uh-oh, this is the first video where she’s said that you can by crumbled cheese. Usually she warns against the caking agents in crumbled and shredded store bought cheese.

  • That was fantastic! Thank you for sharing some of your family with us. The recipes look gorgeous and it looks like you all had a bit of fun making them!

  • Love your salads and dressings. Going to try all of them.
Got to see you smile so much more today. You have a beautiful smile. Making food with family always makes things taste better as well.

  • Excellent video! We are both in our 80’s and are all about healthy aging. We continually strive for a strong body & a calm mind. Keep up the good work!

  • I loved this so much. I’m a aunty with no children of my own, and I love hanging out with my nieces who are now 29 and 23. I’m deff going to try some of these great lunch ideas.

  • Snap Ware brand is the BEST brand of food containers I’ve ever used. Air tight, completely leak proof. They have glass options, as well as non BPA plastic options. Both are brilliant.

  • I pack my wife and my lunch too. One little thing you can do is put a bit of sugar on the cut fruit it pulls some of the juices out and makes a little bit of a sweet sauce. It works especially good wih fruits that go together well like kiwi and strawberry. (My wifes favorite) or raspberries and blackberries (my favorite) edit make sure you send a spoon

  • Hi! I need to say all these compartments are really amazing. I got into this idea just before I signed up for Teachers Programme. I went back to school to train in a rigorous program the past few years and I started to pack a lot more food like this. Well the spinach and all those greens really were spot on because of all the time spent sitting with a computer puts the eyes through a lot and all that lutein and amazing nutrition really helped me work and stay productive!

  • I really enjoyed the whole recipes you’ve all done you and your great family.. You have a wonderful kids. the add the sense of humor along this nice episode.. All blesses to you all..say hi to your awesome children

  • Mum: Hurry up we’re going on a picnic!
Me: watches video wait mum can I make something really quickly for the picnic
Mum: Okay but be super quick
    300 years later
Mum: What the f& #k are you doing? Are you done?
Me: Wait i hafta bake my pizza rings

  • I love your videos! All of the recipes are simple and healthy. Your niece and nephew are adorable. Thank you for sharing your recipes with us ❤️

  • Now I feel hungry and with a lot of anxiety after listening to that background music. At least no body were screaming by getting murdered

  • This was both appetising and mesmerising to watch…… Just curious about that salad that was served with plantain chips on the side, won’t the bread get soggy if the salad is mixed in the centre by the time lunchtime is arriving? Isn’t it not better to carry the salad toast aside and add the salad at lunchtime?

  • Tomorrow I’m gonna try making the bread and a couple of weeks ago I tried making the oatmeal bites and they were so good and by the way whenever I have an ice cream cone I pretend to be a unicorn too

  • I’ve all these easy and flavorful salads!
Perfect idea for CA.Next time I would love to see dairy free options so both of my children can enjoy it

  • Hi Lisa,
I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and I’ve tried some of your recipes and I love them! Especially the nut bars! I love that you did a videos with your niece and nephew! As a proud aunt who loves to cook and bake with her nephew’s, this video hit home for me! However, I notice there is a lot of what I would call… raw cheese? I know “raw” is not the proper terminology here, but basically unless it’s creme cheese, or cheese that has been melted on something, like pizza, I really don’t care for it (I know, I can hear people’s disapproval and I haven’t even pressed submit yet). I especially don’t care for fresh mozzaella. To me it seems like I’m chewing on Play-Doh. It’s almost like how some people don’t like the touch or feel of cotton. Like nails on a chalk board that make me want to be sick. I say all of that to basically say, it’s almost the texture more than the flavor, but I’m still not crazy about the flavor (I feel the same way about eggs. I’ve tried many times as they are a good healthy protein with loads of potential for variety, but I can’t stomach it). Do you recommend and kind of alternative form of protein instead of the cheeses? My instinct would be to instead put some plain Greek yogurt with a few berries on the side of those dishes, but I thought I may as well ask in case you have any ideas. Thanks so much for what you do! You’ve inspired me in many ways!
    -Amy

  • I find Old Bay, Lemon Pepper & Lawry’s Chicken & poultry rub are great seasoning mixes to keep in rotation for baked boneless skinless chicken thighs & breasts.

  • A-Dorable! ✌big thumbs up.
Im vegan but i love your videos and it always brings me a lit of inspo and i adore your video styles
    Thank you!❤️

  • I’m so grateful to YouTube to recommending this to me! I really do have trouble packing the kids’ lunches, especially when I don’t have children and am in quarantine isolation

  • The discount code doesn’t work. No place to correctly apply it. And the card payment redirects you to another site which I don’t like. Therefore my bank declined the transaction as it thinks the company is fraudulent. Yes I could apply to my bank and say it’s ok. I’m always skeptical about that especially when it concerns my bank info. Also the shipping is 9.99! These boxes are super great and I’ve been eyeing them for some time. But with the cost of the box and high shipping they just out priced me.

  • Gosh these meal prep videos are the best!!! I know it’s a lot of work but they’re soooo good !!! Thank you Lisa and thank you to your helpers!!

  • I made your Greek Salad for my daughters birthday last night. We all liked it and it is now on my “go to” list. Thanks for the simple healthy recipes, I love your channel!

  • Love videos like this when u make a variety of different foods. U should make more videos like this one. Plus ur niece and nephew were adorable

  • as a kid that ate the same sandwich for 10 years of school, I can tell you that not packaging a big variety of food for kids is a very bad idea! i ended up hating on some types of foods and a lot of days I didn’t eat my sandwich. not to mention that I couldn’t take all the nutrients I needed from a very small variety of food I was fed with. no wonder I was felling horrible back then.

  • thank you so much for this video and the versatility with some of the same ingredients but still making them different enough to not get bored

  • I really need to eat healthier, I weigh like 140 pounds and my goal is minimum 120-110, when I reach 1k likes then you guys are proving that you care for my health so I’ll do it, I promise it’s not for likes I don’t even know why people want likes, I want it to show people care and help me, so thanks if you do:)

  • Love the recipes, but for the vegetarians out there: has anyone an idea what to use instead of chicken? Does it work when I replace it with tofu?

  • My mom used to make my school lunches before this year and they were healthy but just really boring and I would buy something not so healthy in the cafeteria along with it. I would feel kind of shitty and guilty Now I make my own lunches and look up ideas and recipes and they’re all really delicious, healthy, and fun to make! I feel so much better about myself every day

  • My college aged son sent me a list of items to pick up from the grocery store and they were for these dishes. He’s in school full time and works full time but he’s also a very healthy person. I just made the wraps for him to take to work for his lunch. (He’s 20 and usually makes his own lunches but today he was rushing so I whipped them up…my roll technique can use some practice but they looked and smelled amazing!) He took hummus as his ‘sauce’ because he doesn’t care too much for hoisin. I’ll update later to let y’all know how he liked it…..and this is now on my menu for lunch next week too! Thank you!!!

  • I need help I really wanna start eating healthy but my whole family eat unhealthy and when I say something like I want oat for breakfast they look at me as if I have said something bad

  • Bruh you cannot cook to save your life.. put full broccoli heads in?? Then added the chicken when they weren’t even cooked. #1 broccoli still probably hard #2 you dried out the chicken

  • Looks amazing! BTW, Can I pre prep everything for my husband’s meal throughout the week? Does it taste good even if you put them in the fridge?

  • just intermittent fast when you’re out, if you’re cheap like me having to pay for food is a good deterrent against breaking the fast

  • You spend all that time making your lunch. Cheaper and healthier. Bring it to work. Lunch time you discover a coworker-steals your lunch.

  • I swear MonBonto boxes are the only ads I thoroughly enjoy watching because everything looks DELICIOUS and you get so many different food ideas.

  • The most half assed recipe video I’ve ever seen. They definitely slapped this together in mere minutes because none of these recipes are picnic appropriate and the music is totally out of place

  • cooking with love changes the food completely as well, it could be the same, simple recipe but with love it’s tastier and better for you

  • I went to culinary school but I don’t work in the culinary field anymore.
My coworkers trip out on the food I bring to work.
They would rather blow money on take out and energy drinks every day rather than real food.

It’s annoying when they just stare at you and your food the whole time.

  • I cook on Sundays, and freeze serving size on the freezer. So easy, before I leave for work, I take the freezer dinner and put in the frig.. when I get home Wala all good:-))

  • Wow with such variety of beautifully made food i’d love to try and prepare my own meals like yours, that’s the motivation i was looking for. Thanks for your great channel.

  • What about hot foods for someone who doesn’t have access to a microwave or oven like a construction worker. Is there a way to keep your food hot, or would they just need to pack cold foods?

  • Me, suffering through school lunch in the beginning of 2020:
Me, in 2021 vibing with my mom’s food during online classes:

  • One more benefit of packing your own lunch is that the portion is as small or big as you want! I hate to go to lunch at a restaurant while I am at work because they charge a lot and give these huge, ridiculous portions. I leave nearly half of them. That’s a huge waste of money!

  • I agree tupperware is a big reason people don’t bring their own food, im always afraid my food is gonna leak, and its happened before.

  • How funy it may sound, he is right.

    Taste preference is triguna ORIENTATED.

When cheap prepares you get their shit preference.

You see this in glamoureus restaurant with cheap staff. Than a quality cook comes fixing taste panel.

  • Thanks for some new lunch ideas, spring rolls sounds easy and delicious. So I love my kitchen knives and hope you don’t take this the wrong way. It’s sooo hard on your knives cutting on stone. I’m sorry, non of my business. Cool videos!

  • There’s a fridge and microwave at my workplace. It’s far more common for people to bring their own home-cooked food for re-heating than it is for people to bring simple sandwiches or take-out stuff. A hearty meal you made yourself in the middle of a workday is like magic, I’m more surprised by people not doing it D:

  • He cooks for his wife!! I wonder what will happen if i ask my husband to do that for me! It just scares me to think about the cleaning i have to do after that.

  • Making a blanket statement like “too much variety overwhelms kids” is flatly incorrect. Having nannied oodles of kids over a couple decades I can say that with certainty.
Painting the whole picture with one brush rarely works out well. Really it depends on the individual kid actually; also even if you are engaging with a kid who is subject to overwhelm at times adding a bit of lunch variety could be gently helpful in climbing toward a more confident relaxed kid even in the face of great variety (which can get to anyone on occasion depending on circumstances) so I find it more advantageous to be curious, observe and ask questions than to pay any attention to blanket statements.

  • I’m a bit late haha but I find it difficult as a single person to spend time cooking and preparing lunches that will end up being around $2-3 per day at best. Knowing that I can drive through McDonald’s or some other fast food joint and pick up a couple sandwiches and a large drink for $3. I also try to avoid reheating food when I can.

  • My son goes to a charter school that doesn’t have a lunch program, which means that I have packed his lunch everyday for the past 2 years. I can say that while kids definately do NOT like surprises when it comes to their food, they will eventually enjoy variety. I can’t tell you how happy my 5 year old was to have leftover taco salad for lunch after eating the same almond butter sandwich for several months straight. Also, if you have to pack multiple snacks or meals, pack-it sells a picnic basket size. This is what I use when my son stays after school for gymnastics. I can fit his regular snack, lunch, after school snack and water bottle, and gymnastics snack. Kid eats a lot of food.

  • Dealing with major food aversion, orthorexia, and a histamine intolerance, which is all apparently just the story for me when pregnant. Trying to eat both cleanly and flexibly, but I can make a whole meal, sit down with it, and want to die rather than eat. Saving this for when my brain and body return to normal, and I can enjoy eating well and varied again. Looks so good.

  • I literally cook all my meals everyday and have done so all my life. Very rarely crosses my mind to buy take out.
    1. I don’t know how that would be financially viable.
    2. How do people survive that don’t cook?
    3. Are they always hungry? Do they get multiple deliveries a day?

  • My husband works on the road, every time he gets ready to leave out I pack him 8 to 10 quality dinners. I get creative, he never has the same item more than twice

  • I ordered the cherry blossom design last week and received today. I meal prepped on Sunday and can’t wait to use my box for lunch tomorrow. Thank you, Lisa, for the great recipes…and for the discount code!!❤️

  • You’re always so upbeat and positive but it was fun to see you having fun with your niece and nephew. Are there any plans to invite them back for some fall and holiday themed meals?

  • Great ideas. I don’t know if my comment went through but can i ask you what is the brand of the Green to go salad/soup bowls? They look awesome for on the go!

  • Ya how’s your mom doing honey ya ya honey ya how’s your day doing honey how’s your mom ya doing honey ya honey how’s ya ya how’s doing how’s your mom doing how’s everything working today doing how’s ya

  • The green containers are from Preserve Products. FANTASTIC company run by fantastic people. I worked for them as their first intern in high school and love to see people supporting. More people need to buy their products!:)

  • The Dutch used to always bring a sandwich to work until recently. Now it’s considered weird and old fashioned. I guess the world is being “Americanized” and losing its culture.

  • I love to pack leftovers. I really need some breakfast ideas I never have time to eat before running out the door for work so things I can eat in the car or once I arrive at the office is great. I’ve done quiche muffins & breakfast burritos, but I need some more ideas. I wish someone would make containers like those Go Stacks that are smaller, sized for the actual portion size you want. Good tips, thanks!

  • Im sorry but this whole video gave me flashbacks to the 1 time my mom made meal prep (it was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with goldfish in a smiley face and then some chips and grapes) and I didn’t eat it because I didn’t want to ruin all the hard work she put into it

  • Hi!! Where, may I ask, did you get the shelves that hold the mason jars? Under the cast iron? I’m loving them and cannot find any like it online. Thank you so much!! Loving the fermentation videos!

  • 12:00 “cook a thing of rice and throw that in a salad”… no. Cooked cold rice breeds bacteria at room temperature because some spores can survive cooking

  • Wow. I had no idea people were living so much more luxuriously than I am. All these tips are much more luxurious than I’m eating, but I guess it makes me feel good about myself knowing that I’ve already been packing my own food for many years and it’s been a lot easier than this because I don’t make it so nice.

  • After my husband died, I didn’t want to cook for just me, so I got in the habit of buying microwave dinners and going out to eat—mostly the former. And then I started experiencing the beginnings of arthritis. I’m a pianist and harpsichordist, so I started feeling it in my hands I knew something had to change. A friend told me about eating for your blood type. Arthritis is typical with O+ blood types, so I have been following the eating plan for a year and dramatically reduced arthritis symptoms! All this means I now cook for myself and have never felt better and am so much happier with my meals (I’m actually a foodie.) I was pleased to see that I have been doing most of your tips! I love your videos and have learned so much from you. Thank you!!

  • I believe these are the green containers he has (fyi i’m not affiliated in any way) https://www.preserve.eco/products/round-food-storage-container-large

  • plastic containers after a while smells like food, so try to use glass jars or something like that, and for making less heavy for you make just one meal the night before, but include a little bit of all for satisfy your hungry

  • Like I have time for this. I just toss everything in a bag and boom I’m good to go! As long as it’s edible it’s good enough for me.

  • Wait you guys parents pack you snacks? by my mom does not even have 1 single snack so I don’t get snacks to carry to school but it has lots of snacks at my dad’s so if I was living with him I would have gotten lots of snacks to carry but I don’t live with him Soo no but I wish tho

  • I was never one to eat out all the time when going to work, but now that we’re in confinement, I see just how much money I was still spending on lunches out and coffee on the go. Crazy! Definitely not going back to those bad habits when confinement is lifted.

  • september the only thing im looking froward about going back to skl in september is FoOOoOOOoOOOd
HEHE pulling up 2 skl w/ ma friends and smiggle lunch bag

  • Your green containers look like preserve brand. There made in USA out of recycled plastic. They will recycle a lot of there products. Also my brother works at Pepperidge farms. And they can’t use glass or stainless steel food containers because it can contaminate food. So some people have to use plastic so I don’t know why they get mad at people.

  • I DON’T KNOW WHY I SEARCHED FOR LUNCH BOX IDEAS EVEN THOUGH ITS QUARANTINE AND I KNOW NOBODY IS GOING TO SCHOOL FOR THIS WHOLE YEAR.

  • I can’t imagine a parent doing this type of lunchboxes for their children. My mom would just grab a bunch of snacks and chocolates and put them in my bag

  • In Spain, we have lunch at recess and instead of preparing those lunches, they make a sandwich, wrap it in aluminum foil and take us to school

  • kids can be quite picky so to have a bit of something everyone might like is a brilliant idea, they can choose whatever they want and there will be no wastage

  • What about trying the Indian method using tiffin boxes as they are much more eco friendly and look great also. Would love to see more recipe ideas for these boxes without the astringency of fetta and basil please. Also not a good idea to put the dressing on the salads as it cooks the vegetables and fruit. Much better to serve it separately in a little lidded pot. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Tammy

  • I really like thise recipe bcz i can eat delicious food with low calorie and high protein contain i really love that u gave me so many great idea i will inchallah do it ❤❤❤,

  • Love your videos but the problem is I don’t know what the recipe is for until the end. It’d be great if you show a picture with a name before you show the recipe

  • Awesome as always. But can u pls add the chicken portions like in grams and so on. So we can know how much exactly are you adding to reach a certain caloric count in meals.

  • Btw-tupperware is a brand, you keep calling all the containers tupperware. But love this, i take my lunches but here for ideas, thanks!

  • I love sara so much like the thing that bother me is that she is not to ofen online and i like how she is simple but classy muahh love u sara

  • 4:57 she is holding two jars of fruit salad…… Actually the second jar is vegetable salad jar..….and also 10:00 she is holding fruit jar with a vegetable jar..

  • Lisa, what a wonderful video! I just ordered my box & cannot wait to use it! Thank you as always for amazing content. I appreciate your hard work.

  • I KNOW RIGHT @Gabriella Banks, I always watched her, but i stubbled across her just scrolling through YouTube, and i watched this, BUT, ShE SpElLeD SyRuP WrOnG!!!! She spelled it: Sirup!!:O ITS SYRUP!!!

  • I know its 2 years later but I just got a 3rd shift job and I start today and work 3 days so I’m joining this challenge for my workweek

  • This music is kinda sinister, if this is the music that comes to mind when you think of picnics what kind of picnics are you having

  • I always make and pack my lunch. I’ve never felt embarassed or inconvenienced by it, but rather proud that I am saving money and having good food at the same time. • so..i’m here in space with my alien homie chad. And we decide to rob some alien.

We get in the house, steal the valuables(food, money, jewelry) and as we’re having a nice relaxing picnic on the victim’s rooftop some strange armed dogs walk towards us and aim guns at us..

SO we gave the food and now we’re all homies vibing in a haunted house. Thank you Tasty for this wonderful expirience.
